January 15, 2008 – Winston-Salem, NC – The law firm of Blanco Tackabery Combs & Matamoros, P.A. is pleased to announce that Carolyn W. Scogin was elected a Shareholder and Director of the firm effective January 1, 2008. Carrie practices in the areas of affordable housing law, business law, and commercial real estate & development. She has extensive experience counseling clients in all aspects of affordable housing transactions. Carrie also regularly represents financial institutions, as well as borrowers, in financing transactions.
Carrie joined the firm as an associate in 2001. She holds a B.A. in history from the University of Georgia, and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was also Notes and Comments Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review. Prior to joining Blanco Tackabery, Carrie was a law clerk to the Honorable K. Edward Greene on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
