June 19, 2007 – Winston-Salem, NC – The law firm of Blanco Tackabery Combs & Matamoros, P.A. is pleased to announce that Elizabeth R. Weaver has met the qualifications to become a North Carolina Certified Paralegal. Beth, who has been with the firm since 1991, assists shareholder Ronald A. Matamoros in the transactional and commercial real estate groups. She is the firm's fifth paralegal to become certified in the last 12 months.
The North Carolina State Bar's voluntary paralegal certification program is designed to enhance the quality of legal services that paralegals can provide to attorneys and, indirectly, to their clients. The certification does not expand the duties of paralegals and does not allow them to practice law. Certified paralegals are required to attend at least six hours of continuing paralegal/legal education annually.
