Blanco Tackabery Combs & Matamoros, P.A. offers a full range of benefits to our employees. Coverage under any of the firm's insurance and related benefit policies generally is available for employees working 30 or more hours per week. Certain benefits are subject to eligibility and vesting requirements.
  • Compensation is determined annually and is competitive with peer firms.
  • Evaluations occur annually on September 1 at which time appropriate salary changes are made.
  • Life Insurance. Associates are provided $50,000 of group term life insurance purchased by the firm.
  • Short-Term Disability Insurance is provided.
  • Long-Term Disability Insurance is provided.
  • Medical Insurance. The firm offers all employees medical insurance coverage with premiums paid by the firm. Families of employees may be added at the cost of the employee.
  • 401(k) Plan. The firm maintains a 401(k) plan for employees.
  • Profit Sharing Plan. Annually, the firm contributes a portion of firm profits into a profit sharing plan which benefits all employees.
  • Vacation. Employees hired between January 1 and June 30 receive one week of vacation for the balance of the initial calendar year of employment. On January 1 following the first year of employment, associates receive two weeks of vacation. On January 1 following five years of employment, associates receive three weeks of vacation.
  • Bar Registrations and Professional Memberships. The firm reimburses attorneys for registration fees in all states in which the individual is requested by the firm to maintain a license to practice. The firm also reimburses attorneys and para-professionals for membership in the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, local bar associations, and other approved professional groups.
  • Continuing Legal Education. The firm reimburses associates for approved Continuing Legal Education expenses.
  • Flex Plan. Employees may participate in the firm's Flex Plan which allows participants to pay child care, medical, dental and vision expenses with pre-tax dollars.
