Brian joined Blanco Tackabery upon graduation from law school in 1986. Brian has extensive experience representing clients in sophisticated corporate and commercial matters, particularly in the areas of business formation, structures and financing, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and commercial real estate. He also has substantial experience representing financial institutions, as well as borrowers, in commercial finance, real estate finance and project finance. Brian has developed expertise in renewable ("green") energy projects and finance as well.  

Brian is active civically, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Justice Center and Forsyth County Common Vision. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina.  

Brian enjoys many outdoor activities, ranging from boating, snow skiing, mountain biking and backpacking. Brian also enjoys training and competing in triathlons, including Ironman races.  

Brian has been married to his wife, Sylvia, since 1982, and has one son and two daughters.
