Deron joined the Firm's Winston-Salem office in 2010 and practices in the Civil Litigation and Business Bankruptcy & Insolvency groups. He holds a B.A. in History from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received his J.D., with a concentration in business law, from Elon University School of Law where he was a member of the inaugural class of 2009. He is a member of the Forsyth County and North Carolina Bar Associations.

Deron was born in Hamilton, Ohio, but has lived in the greater Winston-Salem area since graduating from Miami University in 1995, with a brief three-year residence in Cleveland, Ohio. Deron is married and spends most of his free time trying to keep up with his two sons.
