We offer a broad range of services in the area of intellectual property.  We advise clients on copyright and trademark matters, assist them in copyright and trademark registration, draft and negotiate license agreements on their behalf, and negotiate the resolution of issues relating to the use of protected intellectual property.  We also have experience in franchising, distribution, software development and licensing, and commercial loan and acquisition transactions which are secured by intellectual property.  We advise and vigorously represent clients in the resolution of patent, copyright, trademark and trade dress infringement disputes, including through litigation in both state and federal courts, and practice before the PTO for trademark registrations, oppositions, and cancellation actions.  Attorneys Mary Margaret Ogburn and Peter J. Juran are approved to provide intellectual property services to the constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina.
