On September 26, 2008, Blanco Tackabery associates Michael P. Richter and Lauren T. Millovitsch were sworn in to the North Carolina State Bar. Michael Richter, who joined the firm in December of 2007, is also licensed in Ohio. Lauren Millovitsch joined the firm in September, along with associate Jennifer L. Kerrigan, whose North Carolina admission is pending.
Michael works in the transactional group, focusing primarily on affordable housing projects and general commercial real estate. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as Assistant Chief Legal Counsel and Loan Closing Administrator at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency for five years, after having started his career as a litigator at a legal services agency.
Lauren practices in the area of estate planning and administration. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as the Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board and an Articles Editor for the Wake Forest Law Review.
Jennifer, a member of the commercial real estate group, received her B.S. in Business Management from Cornell University. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While in law school, Jennifer was a member of the Moot Court Trial Team and was an Articles Editor for the Campbell Law Review. Jennifer's North Carolina admission is pending.
