October 24, 2007 – Winston-Salem, NC – Ashley S. Rusher, a shareholder of the law firm of Blanco Tackabery Combs & Matamoros, P.A., has been elected for a two-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors for Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Forsyth County. She has also been elected as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Center for Home Ownership, a non-profit agency program of CCCS that guides potential homeowners through the homeownership process, and prepares individuals and families for the transition from renting to owning a home.
Ashley is an attorney in the firm's Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Collections Group, having practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors' rights, workout and collection matters, and commercial litigation since 1987. Her practice includes representation of lending institutions and businesses, including federally chartered credit unions, community and national banking organizations, finance companies, national credit card companies, lessors and lessees, Chapter 11 creditors' committees and businesses and their owners. Ashley also represents Chapter 7 and 11 Trustees, Debtors-in-Possession and partners and shareholders of Debtors-in-Possession. Ashley has represented clients in bankruptcy cases in Delaware, Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Texas, as well as every federal district of North Carolina. Ashley is admitted to the bar in both North Carolina and Georgia.
