Zoë joined Blanco Tackabery in January of 2007 and works in the areas of renewable energy, environmental, business and commercial real estate law. She has handled all aspects of equity syndication and finance for renewable energy projects utilizing federal and state energy tax credits as well as traditional financing. She has drafted and negotiated power purchase agreements, renewable energy certificate purchase agreements, equipment installation agreements and site lease agreements. She represents clients before the North Carolina Utility Commission and the Department of Revenue. She has drafted and advised clients on both energy and tax credit legislation. Zoë regularly advises clients on the legal issues involved in developing renewable energy projects in North Carolina. She recently spoke on the topic of "Affordable Housing and Renewable Energy" at the 2009 CAHEC Partners Conference.
Zoë is a member of the American and North Carolina (Environmental Section) Bar Associations. She is also a member of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. She earned her undergraduate degree from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She received her J.D. and Master of Studies in Environmental Law from the Vermont Law School.
Zoë lives in Charlotte with her husband Spencer, their daughter Juliette, and their black lab Taylor. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Conservation Council of North Carolina. She also serves as President of Yadkin Riverkeeper, Inc.
