Debbie began practicing with Blanco Tackabery in 1997, focusing her practice on representing for-profit and non-profit developers in the area of low-income housing tax credit, historic rehabilitation tax credit and HUD-insured loan transactions. She represents developers throughout the Southeastern United States in all aspects of these transactions, including applications, entity organization, land acquisition, bridge and construction financing, equity syndication and permanent financing, as well as tax-exempt bond transactions and HOPE VI transactions. Debbie has extensive experience representing developers in closing Affordable Housing Program (AHP) loans, HOME Investment Partnership Program loans, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) loans, HUD-insured loans, USDA Rural Development Program (RD) loans, Supportive Housing Program loans and Trust Fund Program loans. In addition to her affordable housing work, Debbie represents clients in general corporate, business and commercial real estate transactions.

Debbie is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association (Business and Real Estate Sections), the South Carolina Bar and the State Bar of Michigan.

Prior to joining Blanco Tackabery, Debbie was an in-house attorney with Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company. She still has her season tickets for University of Michigan football games. In addition, she is currently serving as a Deacon at Highland Presbyterian Church. Debbie and her husband, Jeff, have been married since 2003, and she has one son and one step-son.
